Slot machines are possibly the most famous games to enjoy at casinos. On any night, bargain on most of the slot machines to be filled with enthusiastic players. The first real widespread use of one armed bandits in US betting houses is credited to the Flamingo Hotel, Sin City in and around 1940. The administrator of the casino had originally thought the machines would be perfect to intrigue apathetic wives of a few of the largest high roller customers of the brick and mortar casino. Little did he know that slot games would be an enjoyable game for almost everyone and that the allure would go further than the bored wives. Now, it is said, slots make up in excess of 2/3rds of all income generated by American brick and mortar casinos.

Slots certainly have a rich history. From the small creation of the late-19th century to the multi-million dollar sector of today, slots will continue to expand in popularity.
